I might be wrong but the whole “No one who has traveled down has ever come back. There might be even more levels.” I’m pretty sure it’s from Made in Abyss, but idk
yo who went hard with the character shading. each episode this season has had incremental updates to style like when zeb came to dev, using backdrops almost like animal crossing to convey emotion. yeah shading has improved even from there but in this episode it went hard and it’s awesome to see. Like going back to episode 1 and to here it’s dramatic and i LOVE seeing this growth.
I have a theory maby they are going with the greek religion becuse in greek religion everyone goes to the underworld but in the underworld there are 3-5 places you can go the place where you lived a good life the place where you lived a normal avage life or erternal torcher you can also choose to be reaborn into a new person and if you get into the good place 3 times in 3 lives then you get to go to a like extra peridice I am gessing that Sky was going to the avage life lived place becuse you get your memory wiped and basicly wander around amilesly so anyway thats my theory
