I can actually see a whole storyline for rays gang here. The thing about most fire fighters is that the people in there house are like a second family to them, and it would be immensely interesting if rays gang decided to become fire fighters and joined there branch. It would create entire potential story arcs about there adjustment period and training.
Ray has elite ball knowledge when it comes to preventing disasters, it’s literally what they do first whenever something bad comes up. Now I wonder, will this Ray ever get a lover he deserves?
That last panel reminds me of a super hero. As if it should say “Truth, Justice, and the American way,” or have an American flag in place of the sunset. But I actually like this better, for many reasons. Oh, and I think I like Rey. He’s adorable.

Nobody ever actually says that…. they rationalize loud pipes as a safety feature. (So idiot drivers in sedans know they are there and don’t change lanes into them) But nobody believes them.
I rode motorcycles for about 20 years as my main transportation. Though I never owned or even sat on a “Harvey”. Just not my style. I rode either dual-sport or sport-touring bikes.

I had just started dating my future husband. He was *not* a biker, but he wanted to go. So I got him a 650cc dual sport and he took a safety class.
Right before leaving on the trip he gives me a kid’s Hello Kitty purse. The closure on it was a giant pink vinyl Hello Kitty face. He said “make this my mud flap”…
Every time we stopped, that mud flap broke the ice and got people talking to us!
I love Ray’s badge “bad boy?” As if even he’s confused on how he ended up here, but he’s along for the ride anyway (which is cannon, but I still love the callback).
